We are a group of ladies who are searching for and trying to create a sense of community among other women of Noblesville. We come from all walks of life and all age groups. Some of us are moms, some are wives, some are daughters, and some are widows but all of us are women looking for “our people”.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand – when I am awake, I am still with you. Psalm 139: 17-18
David compares God’s thoughts to grains of sand: too numerous and beyond our ability to count. David covers in this chapter God’s omniscience (Psalm 139: 1-6), God’s omnipresence (Psalm 139: 7-12), and God’s omnipotence (Psalm 139: 13-16).
Our focus will be on us as women first, then friends, then the other aspects of our lives. God is and always will be the center of what we do here, and the love He asks us to have for others. I believe, however, that we need to get together as women first and not just through a Bible Study. Those opportunities already exist. What doesn’t exist is a place where women can feel comradery. Where women can feel the love of other women and what we go through daily. We are so much more than women, but at the core, it is where God has placed us. We spend enough time being the other aspects of our lives, that we need to focus on our ourselves.
The purpose of Grains of Sand is to connect women under the common cause to support and share with one another in love. No woman left behind.Marla Boring, Women’s Ministry Director
